Strengthening Community & Wildlife Safety in Nilambur 📅 Inaugurated on 27th April 2024 by Shri P.V. Wahab, Hon’ble Member of Parliament
🌿 A Lifesaving Initiative by Ryaan Ranch Wildlife Trust On April 27, 2024, Shri P.V. Wahab, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, formally inaugurated the RESCUE RANGERS Emergency Response Vehicle, a proud initiative by Ryaan Ranch Wildlife Trust, supported by SRG Farms. This milestone marks a new era of readiness and rapid response for both forest wildlife conservation and community disaster management across the Karulai–Nilambur region.
Wildlife support: Provides water to forest animals during harsh summers
Community aid: Responds to rural emergencies, wildfires, and wildlife conflicts
Terrain-ready utility jeep (non-4x4) with branded field markings
Rescue tools, fire extinguisher, rooftop equipment rack
Emergency lighting for night ops
Branded Rescue Rangers identity for forest recognition
Trailer-mounted 1,500-litre water tank with hose system
Secure and chemical-free water delivery setup
During extreme summer months, this unit carries up to 1,500 litres of potable water into the interior forest zones. It replenishes natural and artificial waterholes, supporting elephants, deer, and smaller wildlife while preventing human-animal conflict.
This proactive solution ensures that wildlife stay hydrated and within safe migration zones, away from farmlands and settlements.
The vehicle is part of the Rescue Rangers emergency volunteer unit of Ryaan Ranch Wildlife Trust, trained for:
RWildlife rescue and first response
Forest fire and disaster management
Field education and awareness
Emergency medical support in tribal areas
“This vital initiative helps us greatly in enhancing our preparedness and response capabilities.”
— Ryaan Ranch Wildlife Trust
We extend heartfelt thanks to Shri P.V. Wahab Sir, MP, for inaugurating this mission-critical resource and supporting grassroots conservation and emergency efforts in the Nilambur forest zone.
